Day Thirty-One!!!! Wrapping it up…
Wow! Thirty-one days of blogging about trying to have less stress while eating with food allergies is now over. I am glad to have finally taken the time to write this all out, to share with others. (I had another phone call this week, from someone looking for help in going allergy-free for their daughter). Now I won’t have to reinvent the wheel every time someone asks!
I have also enjoyed hearing from some of you, about your food journeys; I have more books to look into, and more things to think about! I am looking forward to trying some new recipes, and blogging about them, and also to blogging more about our adoption process and other things going on in my life.
I have been thinking about what I have learned about “Less Stress in Allergy-Free Eating,” and about blogging for 31 Days on a topic, during the course of this blogging challenge. First, it is interesting to me to see how my eating and stress level fluctuated over the month, and to think about what things impacted that. It had me thinking about what things I do and don’t do, that can set me up for “failure” or success. It also showed my that I need routine, and may even crave routine, but I resist routine at the same time. Also, I learned that committing to posting something everyday is the best way to make sure I carve out that desired time to write.
So, my final post on Less Stress in Allergy-Free Eating, is to ask myself, and you, what creates stress for you when it comes to eating allergy-free? Is it lack of recipes? Lack of time to make things, or research things? Lack of planning? Lack of support? I am going to continue to think about how these areas affect the way I handle food for me and my family…in the kitchen, for me, it’s a journey, not a destination!
